Five players Manchester United simply HAVE to keep in January

If recent press reports are anything to go by, Manchester United are set for a major clear out in the January transfer window.

You cannot blame manager Louis van Gaal for wanting to do this, with a fair few members of his squad simply not pulling their weight – and others who should never have survived the summer cull.

Yet, with injuries being picked up week in week out, Manchester United need to build on their current squad, and add to it.

The team are improving and you cannot have 22 world class players in a side – there does need to be squad players – not to mention top, top players who are the envy of the rest of the league.

With that in mind, we have put our heads together and come up with five players who Van Gaal needs to keep hold of as the transfer window looms large.
