Their keeper keeps saving them - literallyManchester United have found themselves not only in the top four of the Premier League come close of play this weekend, but also above both Liverpool and Arsenal – and Louis van Gaal intends on staying there.

The Dutchman warned that the first three months under him would be hard for both Manchester United players and fans, but the Red Devils are finally coming good and at just the right time.

As Arsenal and Liverpool fall further behind and Manchester City and Chelsea push on with their title battle, the path is opening up for Van Gaal and his men to not only get back into the Champions League but also push for third place to boot.

Whilst the headlines in Merseyside focus on Balotelli’s latest miss and those in north London wonder just where Mesut Ozil has gone, United are going about their business to great effect.

Yes, they are nowhere near where they want to be, but here are three reasons why things will only get better – and why they WILL finish in the top four. After all, they only get better after Christmas!
