Manchester United players and their fans celebrated like they had won the league after securing a home draw against Chelsea – along with a replacement for Howard Webb – and it seems that their celebrations may just be a little bit overboard.
After seeing Robin van Persie remove his shirt and jumped on by his fellow players, we think that the Red Devils should take a little look at World Cup winner Mario Gotze, who after netting for his country during the final, was obviously excited, but managed to keep both his cool and his shirt.
Of course, some would tell you that is a prime example of just how far Manchester United have fallen, with the point taking them to 8th place – and we can only imagine what the players would have received from Alex Ferguson in the dressing room had that been the case under him.
The words hair and dryer spring to mind.
Have a look for yourselves for the contrast in celebrations below!
Manchester United fans. Was this goal worth more than just a point to you? Was RVP stupid or right to celebrate as he did? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
