Five ways Chelsea and Jose Mourinho can start closing out games

Leave 'Mikel time' until the 80th minuteChelsea fans are still trying to get over dropping yet more points in Manchester this season after having the lead – and we think that Jose Mourinho will be dwelling on that just as much.

Twice, the Blues have had the chance to go eight points clear of Manchester City and twice they have ended up conceding late goals – both away at Old Trafford and at the Etihad Stadium. They even cut it close against Shrewsbury in the League Cup – and it simply has to stop.

In the latter stages of the Champions League, it will cost Mourinho’s men and as we know, away goals are vital. Not to mention the fact that a six point gap between themselves and Manchester City is not as big as the Blues would like, all in all it seems that the Blues need to find a way to close out games.
