They have one of the best forward lines in world football, but there is no doubting that Manchester United fans may well be wondering just when the real Robin van Persie plans on standing up.

The forward has not been bad this season, far from it, but he is simply not the star of the show that he was a couple of seasons ago and that is clear to see.

After a brilliant World Cup under now Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, it is fair to say we expected a great deal from RVP this season, but so far United fans have been left wanting.
