Mario Balotelli’s Liverpool career may not have gotten off to the start he wanted, but the forward is far from being a bad buy.

Despite what pundits and the fans might say, £16 million for a player of Balotelli’s calibre is a bargain and we think that Liverpool and more specifically, Brendan Rodgers could well be the ones to bring out his very best side.

With rumours swirling that he could well miss out on a place in the starting line up this weekend with Ricky Lambert preferred and his place in the Italian national side under serious threat, things have to get better for the forward – and fast, and here are five reasons why we think that despite being written off, Mario Balotelli will come good for Liverpool.
