Five potential forward options for Chelsea to use against Manchester United

Eden Hazard It was last season that Jose Mourinho decided to play with six in midfield and no forward against Manchester United at Old Trafford, citing his forward issues – not his love of efficient busses- as the reason why.

Roll on 12 months and there could be a similar issue facing the Chelsea boss once again with huge question marks over the fitness of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and well, the ability of Didier Drogba.

Mourinho is no stranger to deploying a winger as a ‘false number nine’ a la Spain and Cesc Fabregas (who plays for Chelsea now you know) with Andre Schurrle taking up that mantle from time to time.

The purchase of Costa – not to mention back up Loic Remy was supposed to curtail such problems, but with injuries and flu running rife, Mourinho may have to put his thinking cap on to get those goals.

With that in mind, we have come up with five suggestions for Mourinho to consider up top this weekend.

Click on Didier Drogba to see the five options we think Jose Mourinho will be considering ahead of the crunch game on Sunday.

Didier Drogba

Chelsea fans. Do you think Diego Costa will make the game despite flu and hamstring issues? Is he the terminator? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.

Chelsea should not use Costa if its to benefit much from him. I think shurrle can play that position or remy
