Five Manchester United players with a point to prove against Manchester City

Manchester United fans are building up for the derby this weekend against defending Premier League champions Manchester City and whilst they may have more hope of a victory than a month ago, the Red Devils are still not at the very top of their game.

There are heroes on the field despite all of that, and David De Gea has certainly shown everyone that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world these days.

Star players like De Gea aside, there are also a couple of players who need to show just why they deserve to wear the Manchester United shirt and why Louis van Gaal should not only want to keep them at the club but also put them in that starting line up.

With that in mind, we have come up with five players who have a point to prove, both to the fans and themselves this weekend.
