Five forwards Brendan Rodgers could consider as Mario Balotelli replacements

Gonzalo HiguainAll eyes were on Anfield as Liverpool prepared for their biggest Champions League glamour tie in recent seasons with the visit of Real Madrid, but after the loss and in the cold light of day, there are a fair few things for Liverpool to consider, first of which is just what to do with Mario Balotelli, after the forward made yet another hash on the field and that was nothing compared to what he managed off it.

Walking down the tunnel at half time, the Italian swapped shirts with opposition defender Pepe and, as you would expect, drew a huge amount of criticism for it, with even manager Brendan Rodgers making the point to berate him for it.

With the fines racking up more than the goals, it could well be yet another failure for Mario, and we have taken a look at some potential options for Brendan Rodgers should that become the case.
