Manchester United – Manchester United v West Ham United

rooney v west hamThere was an upset at Old Trafford on Saturday come the full time whistle.

Manchester United had actually managed to win a game – and with ten men on the field no less – after skipper Wayne Rooney managed to get himself sent off following a straight red card.

Now whilst West Ham are not the type of opponents to strike fear into the heart of the home side, given United’s performances of late – both at home and away, for them to record three points is no small achievement.

Now they face a spell of three games without their skipper but on the bright side, Darren Fletcher will probably be included in the starting eleven so that Louis van Gaal at least has one of his ‘leaders’ on the field.

They may be a way off winning the title but getting back into the top four simply has to be the priority at Old Trafford this season and after their start to the season, at least they can take comfort in the fact that the only way is up.

Manchester United fans. How impressed were you with the performance this weekend? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.

scary but worth a million ( the three points ), just wasn’t too impressed with the defense, as they played with so much fear that the opponents felt the fear in them at the closing minutes. I would like them to steel themselves next time they are in such suitation as that what makes us champions.
