Manchester United agree £51 million move for Falcao?

Manchester United fans are looking up with smiles on their faces here at La Footyette headquarters as Metro claim they are about to land one of the signings of the summer.

Monaco forward Radamel Falcao now seems to be on his way to Old Trafford in a £51 million deal – and that of course means Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester City are all set to be left scrambling around to land a forward before that window slams shut.

As one of our favourite Footyettes claims, we think this could cast a doubt over the long term fitness of Robin van Persie, who has been in need of a knee operation for some time now and it seems that the capture of Falcao could well be a precaution in case the Dutchman does go under the knife.

This is a huge coup for Van Gaal and is one that will see Javier Hernandez leave for Real Madrid and Danny Welbeck depart on loan to north London club Tottenham Hotspur should everything go to plan for the Red Devils.
