Seamus ColemanChelsea fans are eagerly looking towards the news desk in our Footyettes HQ as the Sun on Sunday report news of a huge summer swoop for the Blues.

According to the publication, the Blues are considering making a swoop for right back Seamus Coleman who has been impressing for Everton this season and is certainly developing into one of the finest defenders in Europe – and one who will be coveted by the bigger clubs as his profile increases.

Jose Mourinho is willing to sanction a bid of around £20 million for the 25 year old and sees him as a replacement for current right back Branislav Ivanovic who will eventually move into the heart of the defence when John Terry hangs up his boots.

However, one sticking point for the title contenders may well be finding a way to get Everton manager Roberto Martinez to let the defender go without a fight as along with Ross Barkley, he will be a player who the Toffees will try and hold onto and reject any offers for.

Chelsea fans. Do you think Coleman would be a good buy? Will a bid of £20 million be enough? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
