BBC Sport have stunned our Footyettes as it is claimed that bad boy of football, Mario Balotelli could well be about to make a move to Liverpool.
The AC Milan forward has been looking for a way back to England for some time now and after his time at Manchester City we doubted this would happen, however Brendan Rodgers seems determined to give the Italian another chance to prove himself.
After a lacklustre World Cup, Arsenal seemingly pulled the plug on a rumoured move for the forward – something the Reds and Rodgers should now be grateful for considering they have tried and failed to lure a host of other forwards to Anfield as Luis Saurez replacements.
As one of our Footyettes notes, despite Balotelli’s reputation, at least he does not bite people – on the field at least – and this could be his last chance to prove himself on our shores and one that he simply has to take.
The Reds look set to get him at a cut price amount as well, with a fee of £17.6 million offered and a four year deal worth around £90,000 on the table.
Liverpool fans. Do you think Balotelli would be a good signing or would you prefer Radamel Falcao on loan for 12 months? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
