Liverpool target yet ANOTHER Southampton player

It is perfectly understandable to say there are faces of serious disbelief at our Footyette headquarters after Metro claimed Liverpool are actually set to make a swoop for yet another Southampton player.

Now we know that the Saints did well last season, but for Brendan Rodgers to seek out a grand total of four players from one club, we are a little bit shocked to say the least – and that is not even considering what the Saints themselves probably think!

After seeing their move for Loic Remy fall through, the Reds have now decided that Jay Rodriguez is the man for them – and we have to say, Rodgers seems to be going a little bit too far with this latest swoop!

They may have seen Luis Saurez leave for Barcelona but their title hopes are as strong as ever and even skipper Steven Gerrard has claimed he thinks the Reds genuinely have a chance this season – and we agree, as long as they buy a forward. Quite if that is Rodriguez however remains to be seen!
