There could be some very good news for Everton fans this summer and according to the Daily Mail, it will be official in the next 48 hours.
The Toffees are set to sign Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku on a permanent deal after Lukaku decided to snub Tottenham Hotspur and sign for the side he spend last season with instead.
According to the publication, Lukaku has become the top priority for Everton boss Roberto Martinez and after missing out on Demba Ba due to the forward’s wage demands, getting Lukaku is a must.
As one of our Footyettes notes, Lukaku has been linked with a fair few clubs, and a stay at Stamford Bridge certainly does not seem on the cards with Jose Mourinho making it clear to the board that he does not see a long term future for the player at the west London club.
