You might think that given the abject performance by Brazil in their World Cup semi-final against Germany that they may struggle for sponsors come the 2018 tournament. However, according to this rather hilarious viral, that does not seem to be the case with a rather large, very well-known company desperate to put their name in the centre of the famous yellow shirt.

Drinks company 7 Up have been suggested as the ideal new sponsor for Luis Filipe Scolari’s men and some rather witty individuals think that is perfect considering the amount of goals shipped by the host nation. It is especially apt given skipper for the night and main culprit David Luiz is already one of the faces of PepsiCo, who own 7 Up!

To concede so many goals that media outlets have to write the number after its numerical form is shameful indeed – and there is no excuse for the shambolic performance David Luiz, Marcelo and co managed to produce.

The internet virals have been going into overdrive, and this mocked up the picture of the Brazilian shirt is certainly one of our favourites!
