Arsenal handed transfer boost with Columbia star and top target a fan

World Cup stars are all the range at the minute and our Footyettes want to know what the Daily Express have to say about Arsenal being in pole position to land one of Columbia’s highest profile players this summer.

The publication seem to be under the impression that Porto striker Jackson Martinez would relish a move to north London and wants to play for the club he supported as a boy.

Now as one of our Footyettes notes, Martinez is lighting up the World Cup and is part of a Columbia side we think could provide a couple of upsets before the end of the competition and we would love to see him in the Premier League.

Arsenal are desperate for a forward and have been linked heavily with Mario Balotelli but after Martinez spoke about Arsenal in glowing terms, we know which option Arsene Wenger should pick!

Martinez claimed: “My agent is taking care of my future, right now I’m at the World Cup and only after the World Cup I’ll evaluate proposals.

“As a child I cheered for Arsenal, they play a game that suits me. If I had the occasion to play there, I would say yes.”
