Chelsea ramp up transfer dealings with Costa medical

diego costaIt seems Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are taking no prisoners when it comes to their summer transfer dealings – well if the Daily Mail is to be believed that is.

The publication seem to be under the impression that Diego Costa is edging closer and closer to that £32 million move having passed a medical at the west London club.

Costa has been struggling with a hamstring injury but has made the final 23 man cut for Spain ahead of the World Cup in Brazil and it seems that the Chelsea doctors are happy with the 25 year old’s fitness too.

The Blues have of course been desperate for a forward who can actually put the ball into the back of the net and it seems that after the expensive flop that turned out to be Fernando Torres, Mourinho and the board have decided to be a little bit more cautious this time around.

Chelsea still have Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku on their books and it seems that all will have to fight for their place at the club with at least one more forward set to arrive before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea fans. Do you think that Costa is the right player to swoop for or is this another disaster waiting to happen? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
