United fans troll Liverpool slipper – sorry skipper

Manchester United fans have taken one small piece of pleasure from what has otherwise been a very forgettable season for the Red Devils.

Their defence of the Premier League title has been abysmal and their record at home was even worse.

Manager David Moyes lost his job but not before a banner was flown over the stadium telling him exactly what some fans thought.

That idea has obviously not been forgotten by the United faithful, with a rather cheeky banner being sent over Anfield during the final game of the season.

Liverpool may have been favourites for the title but after losing to Chelsea and letting a three goal lead slip against Crystal Palace, the title has gone to Manchester City – leaving Steven Gerrard with zero titles to his name.

United fans have not let the skipper forget this and the plane they flew over the game against Newcastle has already become a viral sensation.

Of course, Liverpool will rue their missed chances – but would probably rather be challenging for the league on the final day not just sending banners from 7th place in the table.
