The Premier League season is coming to a close but there is nothing quite like a grandstand finish – and Manchester City know more about those than most.
The Citizens have been up and down this season and at times looked to be out of the title race. That however is not the case now.
After seeing Chelsea beat Liverpool but fail to do the business elsewhere and having a couple of games in hand, the 2012 title winners had it all back in their hands.
They had to beat Everton at Goodison Park – something that is no easy task this term and a fair few of their title rivals have dropped points facing Roberto Martinez’ men at home.
City were not taking any prisoners and despite not exactly convincing for the majority of the season and indeed making very hard work of the game against the Toffees, they managed to get all three points.
That makes them our team of the week and we think that it could well make them the eventual champions of England as well.
