Paris Saint Germain seem to have lost their minds if the Daily Mail is anything to go by.
The Ligue 1 winners have tabled an offer for Chelsea defender David Luiz – and it is thought to be around £50 million.
Now it seems to us that it is little wonder the club are in big trouble for failing the FFP regulations should this be the case.
Luiz may be a decent player and a versatile one at that, but he is not worth anywhere near £50 million – unless you have missed out a decimal point perhaps.
Chelsea paid less than half of that figure for the Brazilian and would effectively be doubling their money should they take PSG up on their offer and sell the defender.
Luiz himself is keen on a move and thought to be in advanced talks with PSG chiefs over said move and has now finished thrashing out personal terms after successfully completing a medical in Brazil.
We think that Jose Mourinho would be mad not to sell a player he clearly does not trust for that amount of cash! Imagine the goals he could buy with £50 million!
