Cole set to leave Chelsea this summer with no new deal on the table

Well, it seems that one of the most controversial (sorry wrong word, hated) players in the Premier League is set to leave Chelsea and look for a new adventure. Well that is according to BBC Sport at least.

Ashley Cole is looking for a new club after Chelsea made it clear that they would not be renewing his current deal – and we think that Liverpool are heading up the list of potential suitors.

The Reds are keen to add some experience and indeed quality to their back four and Cole is one of the best around when it comes to both of those attributes.

Given the Reds were oh so close to lifting the Premier League title with a shoddy back four, we can only imagine what the likes of Cole would do to boost their title chances next term.

Chelsea meanwhile are looking at options including Sevilla star Alberto Moreno and will be letting Cole go on a free this summer with the player himself tweeting that a new adventure will be on the cards given the lack of a new deal.
