song#Manchester United fans here at La Footyette headquarters are looking rather interested after the latest claim from Goal.

The publication have claimed that the Red Devils are preparing a move for former Arsenal turned Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, who is of course on the fringes of the Barcelona first team and looks like leaving in the summer.

Song was voted one of the worst signings of last season, and unlike Luka Modric, he has not improved. In fact, some of our Footyettes would even argue that he has regressed!

United manager David Moyes is desperate to strengthen the middle of the park in the summer, and given Song is already versed with the Premier League, we think it could well be a good move.

Song would cost the Red Devils around £12 million and given manager David Moyes is set to be handed a £200 million war chest by the board, this is small change in comparison.

Song would be open to a move as he is increasingly unhappy in Barcelona, still unable to get regular first team football – even at a team in crisis.

Do you think Song should jump at the chance of a move back to the Premier League? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
