A very proud record went down the drain for Chelsea and Jose Mourinho – as did their hopes at the Premier League title apparently.

David Moyes faced a rather humiliating return to his former club and it was one that pushed him even closer to the exit door at Old Trafford.

Sunderland seem to be on a roll and could well avoid the drop as Liverpool strengthened their grip on the title.
