4336231Metro have a claim that our Footyettes are rather interested in, as they note that one of the players we thought could well be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer actually looks set for an extended stay.

Robin Van Persie has been looking rather moody of late and after certain comments made by the forward, not to mention rumours of a total break down between the player and his manager in terms of their working relationship, we felt a summer move was on the cards.

Not only that, but it could well have been the sensation of the summer had RVP moved back to former club Arsenal.

The Dutchman has moved to quash these rumours, and has claimed that he only sees his future in Manchester. RVP noted: ‘The truth is I’m very happy here at this club. I signed for four years and I’d be delighted to stay even longer, beyond the next two years I have left on my contract,

‘This is how I feel, although it’s not what has been suggested in the media.’

He also spoke about his relationship with Moyes and claimed: ‘The sessions we have on the training ground are fantastic and I’m learning a lot from them every day. I’ve been a professional footballer for 12 years now and there’s no doubt I’m learning new things and progressing with David Moyes.’

Perhaps learning to lose is a new concept for the player and it is certainly one Moyes is instilling!

Do you think RVP is telling the truth? Let us know your thoughts below.
