Manchester United v Liverpool is historically English football’s biggest game.
Both have had huge domestic and international success but it is United who have dominated in recent years.
That was the case until this season seemed to show United to be on a downwards spiral and Liverpool on the up.
Sunday’s game ended with Brendan Rodgers and his men running rings around the Red Devils easily winning the match 3-0. Liverpool were awarded an unprecedented three penalties, two of which Steven Gerrard converted and saw skipper Nemanja Vidic sent off.
Some on Merseyside are starting to believe their time for glory might have finally come around again.
