Paulinho – Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City

The midfielder may have returned from injury at exactly the right time for Tottenham Hotspur, who snatched a point from Hull at the death.

Tim Sherwood and his men would have been looking for considerably more than that, but after labouring through the game, despite an excellent Michael Dawson performance, they were lucky to actually get a draw.

The Champions League and a top four spot does not look like something that will be happening for the Lilywhites anymore, and despite all those whispers of winning the title at the start of the season, we now think a top seven spot and a place in the Europa league could be about the sum of their season.

Paulinho showed his class upon his return, taking the ball well before smashing it home, and the relief was palpable upon not only his face, but the rest of the players and also his manager.
