moyes1_2679794b-610x387-300x190Metro claim that David Moyes is about to issue a cry of SOS at Old Trafford. Save Our Season.

The manager is planning on doing that by dipping into the January transfer window, and is considering spending the big bucks.

We all know that the season has not exactly gone the way Moyes would have envisaged, with not only his side doing rather poorly, but the fact that Everton are looking better than ever has hardly helped matters.

United now also have to face up to the huge blow of Robin Van Persie being out for at least eight games, and the festive period will have to be navigated without him.

The Red Devils have been linked with a fair few players, but it is the link to his former midfielder Ross Barkley that is currently making headlines.

Moyes spoke about his January plans and admitted: ‘The club have the money and they will spend, there’s no question about that.

‘We can definitely find the money for a big deal, 100 per cent.

‘I know that because the money was available this summer. We were very close to a major, major signing, and if it had gone through it would have definitely shown what the club is worth.

‘We didn’t do it in the end, we didn’t quite get there because players had chosen other clubs or made different decisions, but we were close to a couple of major signings and we didn’t miss out because of money, that’s for sure.’

Will Moyes stay true to his word? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
