Cavani’s goals may be getting better but thankfully his torso remains the same

This weekend has certainly been full of stunning goals both in the Premier League and across Europe, leading one of our Footyettes to question why we have been a little bit thin on the ground when it comes to our shirtless footballers.

We may be marvelling over the skill shown by Jack Wilshere or the audacity of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but at the Footyette headquarters, we need a little bit more than that to get us through our Monday morning.

That is why one of our Footyettes came up with the brilliant suggestion of taking a look through our archives and picking our favourite picture from our goal scorer of the weekend.

Our pick of the bunch this weekend had to be the beauty scored by Paris Saint Germain forward Edinson Cavani, who managed to net such a cracker he even had Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his feet to applaud him.

We all know exactly how good Cavani can be from his time at Napoli, and admittedly were surprised when he made the move to Ligue 1, but one thing is for sure – he still knows how to net those screamers!

As one of our Footyettes observes, if only he remembered how to take his shirt off too!
