fulham v unitedAfter a very ‘Manchester United’ victory against Stoke in their last Premier League fixture, not to mention securing safe passage to the next round of the Capital One Cup, David Moyes and his men could finally be starting to piece together a winning run.

As everyone on this planet and the next knows, the club have suffered since former manager Sir Alex Ferguson departed in the summer and have begun the defence of their title in the worst way possible.

Not only has Moyes failed to win any of the so called ‘six pointer’ games, but he has also navigated his way to dropped points against the likes of West Brom. Not exactly the start he would have dreamed of in the Old Trafford dug out.

That being said, the form of Wayne Rooney has been a highlight for the club and can only mean good things come the summer trip to Rio – for England fans that is. Quite what their opposition think remains to be seen!

Despite their awful start, the club are looking favourites to qualify from their Champions League group and are into the next round of the League Cup. They are also only two points behind former title favourites Manchester City. A January run of form could well see them make a play for the title yet.

To be in a position to do that however, they need to start putting a string of wins together and the next chance to do that is an away trip to Craven Cottage. United need ALL three points from teams like Fulham in order to keep up any hope of a decent finish this season. The top four positions look like they’re going to be pretty crowded!

After a 4-0 result in the Capital One cup against Norwich, a win away to struggling Fulham will mean a four game winning streak in all competitions, more confidence and crucially some much needed league points!

Fulham have only managed three wins and one draw from nine Premier League games this season. Really anything other than a win will bring even more criticisms and disappointment from already anxious United fans. But fear not, United do have a good record over Fulham and beat them twice in the league last season!

Midweek star Javier Hernandez will be looking to keep his place in the side and there are a couple of others with points to prove. Fulham meanwhile have their own well documented problems and will be scrapping for the points on offer.

So it’s Fulham’s 14th v the Red Devils 8th  place. What are your full-time predictions? Let us know your thoughts below or tweet us @LaFootyettes.
