Bale completes world record move

Bale is world classSo finally the saga of the summer has officially ended. After 110 day, numerous rumours, even larger amounts of money being banded about and the poor guy in charge of the ‘galacticos podium’ at the Santiago Bernabeu having to put it up and take it down more times that Luis Surez gets mistranslated, Gareth Bale has finally become a Real Madrid player according to Metro.

The Welshman has become the most expensive player in the world according to Tottenham Hotspur. Real Madrid are understandably trying to claim that the player cost slightly less than Cristiano Ronaldo. The player himself has dubbed the move as ‘a dream come true,’ and is set to be unveiled at the Bernabeu at 1pm on Monday afternoon.

The move has thrown further doubt over the future of the likes of Angel Di Maria and Mesut Ozil – and could well trigger a mass movement right before the close of the transfer window – or so another manager in North London will be hoping.

The negotiator of the summer, Daniel Levy spoke after the move was confirmed and noted that whilst the club did not want to sell Bale, nor did they want to keep a player who simply did not want to be at the club anymore. Given the sheer amount of new signings that have been brought in by Levy this summer, the club have hardly moved backwards, and here at Footyette headquarters, we think that there are far more positives than negatives for the fans to take away as the transfer window draws to a close.

Bale is quality, fee is excessive and I hope he does not crumble due to the huge baggage that goes with such a move. Good luck Gareth. Spuds have bought well …. but no longer have the get out of jail card player that was Gareth Bale.
