After victories in the first two games of the season, whilst also managing to boast two clean sheets (take a bow Jonathan Walters) optimism is constantly growing in Merseyside with a push for those much coveted top four places seeming to be a realistic target.
Many believe this is prerequisite for Liverpool FC and that this is where the club belongs; competing in historic European ties with the famed Anfield atmosphere in full flow.

After all is said and done Liverpool will more than likely improve on last season and finish sixth place in the Barclay’s Premier League, however, as shown by last season finishing sixth doesn’t necessarily mean Europa League. As a result, maybe Liverpool fans would be grateful to be able to tune in to ITV 4 on a Thursday next year… at least it’s not Channel 5!
