me2I am the very proud editor of La Footyettes. To write about sport still seems slightly surreal to me so to be editing a website is like Drogba’s penalty in Munich – a dream come true.

The whole idea of this site is to allow females to have a voice in football – yes women are getting more and more opportunities to write, present and play top class football but there are still not enough chances. The site is aimed at both men and women to read and enjoy – there’s something for everyone.

I personally have a very soft spot for La Liga and anyone who follows me on twitter will know where my heart lies in the Real Madrid v Barcelona debate! That being said, the Bundesliga is looking stronger than ever and Ligue 1 has pots of money to catch up with the rest of us now. Serie A has Mario and the Premier League has Mourinho. There is no better time to be talking and debating about the sport and I am thrilled to be heading up La Footyettes with a team of sensational writers to help me.

Follow us on twitter @Lafootyettes and make sure to #LFO – la footyette opinions when you send us a tweet.

You can follow me personally @RebeccaKnight01.

    Hey Rebecca,

My name is Brendan, I’m one of the founders of Lineups. (www.lineups.com)

I remember we reached out to you about a position to be one of our ambassadors. Unfortunately we never heard back from you. I came across this website of yours and I am very impressed. I love the women side to football, we need more female soccer fans in the world. My plan is to get married at Old Trafford so first I need to find a woman who actually knows what that is.

Anyways, I just wanted to say great website, wish you all the best. I’d love to see a lafootyettes presence on Lineups. Having you and all your girls on Lineups would be amazing and I think it would welcome a lot more female football fans to join and have their voice heard. We are steadily growing so you starting a presence now could help you gain more exposure.

If you want to get in touch, my email is still the same brendan@lineups.com or if you download the lineups app you can follow me @bp and msg me on there.

    Take Care,
    B.P.
